FLY AND WASP KILLERS

Flies and wasps in and around the home are not only annoying but they are unhygienic and in the case of wasps, there is the ever present threat of a nasty sting! To help you deal with these pests the Eraza range has two products, each specifically developed to deal with the problem fast and effectively. 




FLY AND WASP FACTS

  1. Flies are the only winged insect to have 2 wings - all others have 4
  2. A fly beats its wings 200 times a second, 3 times faster than a hummingbird
  3. No species of fly has teeth
  4. Flies cannot eat solid foods; they vomit on food to break it down into a soupy liquid, at the same time spreading bacteria
  5. Flies transmit many diseases, germs, and bacteria
  6. The average house fly lives 21 days
  7. Flies can lay 200 - 3000 eggs in a life time, maggots hatch within 24hrs
  8. Queen wasps emerge in early April to form a colony
  9. The largest wasp species in the world is the Asian giant hornet which can grow up to 5.5cm long!
  10. What’s lurking in your loft? Lofts make the ideal place for nests
  11. In 2010 a wasp nest measuring 6ft by 5ft was discovered in a pub attic in Southampton. It was about 15 times bigger than an average nest and contained around ½ million wasps
  12. Wasp stings hurt! Tragically there are between 2 and 6 deaths from allergy to bee or wasp stings occur in the UK every year
